FamilyMint was designed with the sole idea that finances management for families should be as easy as personal finances management. Based on this field's tremendous experience, the company decided to bring seamless smooth experiences to yet another audience, carefully studying its unique needs and requests.

Challenge

Managing personal finances is hard. Managing family finances is ten times harder. But it comes with benefits, as timely budget management helps people find budget leaks, define unnecessary spendings, highlight constant costs overrun, and build a clear birds-eye view of spendings structure. Nowadays, with credit cards available for young adults, it becomes even more crucial for families with children. Parents give up on managing timely allowances, category spendings, and savings routines.

Solution

We have thoroughly researched the most popular personal financial management solutions available on the market and glanced through user reviews. This gave us insights and hypotheses that we refined on design sessions and tested via rapid app prototyping. To make the app simple and user-friendly, we removed and hid almost everything that looks like a good idea but hasn't got much attention from users. This has led us to a clean, modern, and powerful tool razor-focused on user and family needs.

Result

We've built the app according to ideated prototypes and mockups and successfully connected it to an existing backend. As of early 2021, the client starts rolling out the app to beta customers within a specific area.
